Algae on an Urchin - remove?

My Urchin has Algae on a couple spines. I have read sometimes they do that to camoflauge themselves?? Do I need to remove? He moves throughout the tank and is active...

I think it will be an unending battle; best to learn to live with all the funny bits of this and that he will pick up. Lol.

If he's active I don't think I'd worry about it.
