I have this growing all over back of my aquarium and now on heater and airline. I have had saltwater tanks for years and never had anything like this.

Is it good or bad? Any information is helpful. Thank you.

Looks like Green Hair Algae to me. I would try to hand siphon out as much as possible ( check youtube for some tips on this). Clearly something is going on to cause this - too much Phos / Nitrate or some other underlying cause. It's important to export as much as possible while also trying to solve your chemistry imbalance. Good luck

Thank you. My phos are high so is the calcium.

Take the wet side of your cleaning magnet and manually scrape it off with your hand, while holding a tube to siphon the algae that comes off.

Let it than regrow, and do it again a few more times until it exports the majority of your excess nutrients.

You can also concurrently start addressing your nutrients with other means, wether it’s carbon dosing, GFO, Biopellets, more frequent water changes, etc.

Thank you.
