Getting ready to repopulate my DT after a 76 day fallow period. Tank looks great, water is clear, corals all doing well. Only thing I noticed the other day hanging off a rock way on the bottom (figures) is this white stringy gelatinous growth. Not sure if it is some type of algae or what. It doesn’t move and it was easy to dislodge a piece. Is this something I need to remove or otherwise deal with before putting the fish back? Photos attached.

Potentially dumb question, but those aren't strips of silicone are they?

I don't think so. Growing on a rock at the bottom of the tank. I haven't used silicone in the tank and they didn't feel sticky or gooey to the touch.
Possibly some type of sponge, but I've never seen them long like that. #reefsquad @KJ any ideas?
