Hi,

I’ve recently installed a Tunze algae reactor which has been running for about 10 days. Started with a small ball of Chaeto which is now pretty much filling the reactor. I haven’t harvested anything yet but on today’s water test I’ve noted there has been no reduction in nitrate at all. Is this normal? Will it take time to work?
Thanks

just keep harvesting, it will work over time. you may also need to do some more water changes or feed less in the short term if nitrate is dangerously high.
