still running good? Im thinking of doing this, but I read that one thread where the guys tlf reactor cracked and flooded his floor. Maybe his lights were particularly hot, or it just wasnt the lights fault at all. I have a tlf 150, and honestly so far, the gfo is a p.i.t.a.Mines been running since Saturday. The chaeto has gotten slightly bigger and my algae in my dt is less and less everyday!
Mine is off line. I started to get stress crackes on the reactor and it grew more hair alage than anything else. Right now I’m running with skimmer UV and carbon/ gfo reactor and seem to be having success
thats all i need to hear. Im not doing it. I was having problems with my gfo clumping and channeling in my phosban 150, and the bottom pad raising on one side, making a fountain of gfo spray. Tlf told me that i was using too little. It needs 2-5" of gfo to work properly. I put more in yesterday, and it seems much better.
I’m using the BRS dual carbon and gfo reactor with the seachem phosphate removal. It specifically stated do not let media tumble. With that combo I have great success along with my skimmer and bi weekly water changes. My numbers never bottom out and hover around nitrate 7 ppm and phosphate .06ish.
