Hello all:

I am running the Santa Monica Rain 4.

My questions: Is it best to run the rubber lights at the same time as the aquarium lights or a reverse cycle?

Second, is there a max amount of light to have on per day? ie if I am still trying to bring down nitrate and phosphate can I go as high as 24 hours a day of lights on the scrubber or better to max out at 20 or less?

Thanks much, Steve.

Your best bet is to run a reverse schedule. It will actually stabilize your pH a bit over night. I think it's recommended to go between 12 and 15 hours to start and then slowly increase.
