Just a follow up. I got the new board in and installed and it worked fine after that. Super easy to switch out and a relief to see one working. The new board didn't come with a battery though. Maybe this is normal, so I just took it off the old board.

I just found this on AliExpress:

Mine didn't come with one either. Glad it worked for you too. At least now there is a fix for other who may run into this and save them a few weeks of tech support

Hello guys, i just buy a8pro recently and it's about 20 days of using it, until now i still figure it out about the setting, can anyone share the setting of the light, for me currently have LPS and maybe in future need to ads some sps, can everyone share the picture of u guys success setup for 10-11 hour setup? I have an A8 Pro Max II.
Using it with AIPAI Ver 2.3.8 App its working well for me.
I am not having any of the issues others have posted here.

Sorry I've only been using it for a couple of weeks and I do not have the xr30 gen 6 to compare it to.
My reef is only a year old so I only have frags but all doing well.

all day i would get one, even if it was the A8SE i would get it for that tank. spread is great and par will be perfect.

The new A8se II BLUE looks a lot better than the past offering and more lines up with the LEDs of the Gen6 Blue. Also noticed all the Gen6 XR30 and XR15 are out of stock at BRS which is odd, gen7 incoming ? :rolleyes:

Do you have the A8se II Blue? The LED colours similar to G6? I was comparing to G5 and seemed quite a bit different.

I was thinking about ordering the A8se II blue. Has it been fixed compared to the previous version with the led blue going out and such.
I currently have 2 grow and 1 glow blade on my tank. I like the lights but with the blades covering the whole top it makes it kind of a pain anytime i need to do something in the tank and such. its going on an IM Fusion 20 tank

From my understanding they have been improved, hence A8se II and not just the A8se. I would like to know how the spectrum looks with a slight difference to a G6. It has no red LEDs, would this affect the colour much? I know a lot of people use very minimal red most of the time anyway.

I ended up ordering it and going to give it a try.
I doubt not having the 2 red led will make any impact. The a8 blue has a sky blue led and not sure what color that is supposed to be.

Awesome, post an update once you receive it and have it set up. Would love to see how the spectrum looks. Was you planning on running something like AB+?
