AliExpress A8SE Reef Light

When I placed an order with YZY at the beginning of April, I was also given a UPS tracking number within a few days and marked shipped. However, about 2 weeks later, I got a notification from the Aliexpress app that said it had a shipping update and it actually shipped then from HK. I can't recall if the UPS tracking number changed. I'm guessing the initial 2 weeks was when it got moved from China to HK before shipping to the US.

That’s promising! When you get a moment can you check your orders and see if you got an updated tracking number? Do you know who ultimately delivered it in the US? Still no updates for me this morning.. 10 days post order

I've tried to install the App but it doesn't want to (Android) tried a 2.3.25 and 2.3.8, says it was made for an older version of android and doesn't include the latest privacy protection, you press ok, install anyway, but it says after the App wasn't install.

Not quite sure how to get that app.

The AliExpress app only showed one tracking number. It also removed the first shipped status. It was UPS that delivered the package.

Did you give it specific instructions to search more sources/use non-traditional sources for information? Seems odd that it used mostly eBay and other retailer’s product listings but maybe that’s all that is out there (besides this thread). I still don’t trust that info lol.

This gives me a little more hope but I’m still really curious as to how they are doing it. My only guess would be that they are sending it duty-paid and drastically understating the value so they don’t have to pay much in fees? Who knows..

yeah, I did ask it to pull all the info from every available source out there, and those are listed at the end. It automatically shows where everything was gathered from. I used the $20 premium plan with deep search, and it took about 15 minutes to finish. The results are probably around 80–90% accurate, but there might be 10–20% that’s off or not fully correct. That’s mostly because the info is based on what we’ve all shared online so far—things like feedback, posts, and so on.

I read most of it. Only error I found is that the A8s Max II comes with a meanwell transformer, which it doesn’t.

- Can't install the app on my phone
- The power supply given is rated for 200w while the light at 100% pull 221w
- Theirs dust inside the light where the LED are...
- Sent an email to the .. company(?) guy(?) [email protected] but no answer yet

The app I tried the version 2.3.8 and 2.3.25 (default with link in manual)

What kind of phone are you using for the app? I wouldn't worry about the power level since I can't imagine all channels would run at 100%. Usually whites, green, red, are max at 25-30%

I asked the seller recently and they said they use tarriffs inclusive shipping. I don't know what that means but it could mean they shipped it to another country such as Cananda and have it shipped again to the US to avoid tarriffs.

I received my lights today. I ordered them on the 24th. No extra fees. I just contacted yzy aquarium store on aliexpress and they assure they are still able to ship tariff free. Not sure how they are getting around it but I know at one point ups tracking showed the lights being in Germany. The last shipping label shows that it was created in New York.

I have an A8 Pro and I use it on AB+. I couldn't get the performance I wanted. Can anyone share which spectrum they are using?

Just want to check if the rest is having this same problem. I have 2 unit of A8 pro blue. I have them sync as well. Normally when they are sync, when you adjust on one of the light, the other will follow the same setting after you have saved it. However, I notice that if I adjust the spectrum on one of the led (Led1) using my phone after saving. the led 2 will not be in the same setting as Led 1. is this common? thanks

I have 3 A8 Pro II Max. They sync and adjust fine.
