Anyone running the AB+ program schedule with their A8 Pro Blues? For some reason it looks different that our Radion Xr 60 Blues. While I understand they are not the same, just wondering if anyone put them side by side in there reef tank to see the color difference?

Anyone having this issue? I try to link the light together - running the AB+ program. when I look at the lighting setting. light 1 have more blue while light 2 have more white? why is this so? shouldn't they run similar configuration? do advice if you have similar issue. Thanks

Wow, has anyone tried the Color schedule? It looks amazing! I really like how the whites ramp up and down, it feels so dynamic. I’m thinking of giving it a shot since I’ve been running LPS at 70 percent for a while and could use a bit more white during the day. What schedules is everyone else running? I’d love to see some alternatives, anything beyond the standard AB+ that feels a little more exciting. For some reason I don't feel as though running 200+ par for 10 hours is right for the colors. But I don't know. Also not sure about running uv at 80 percent all day.

I guess not many run it . Was hopeful someone could weigh in on the "blue's using the same AB+ and it not being true AB+ schedule, for the A8 Pro Blue AB+ is 80 percent blues (but one blue is 19%) and whites 19%. Our radion XR60 Blue is 100 percent on all channels when picking AB+. How is that the same?

Only reason I question this is it seems the corals do better with more white light, this AB+ program schedule looks so so blue. I don't mind trying out equal values and lowering down blues and upping whites, but boy is it going to be white. Something seems off, as if the AB+ schedule was for their older lights, but with the Blues its different?

I run modified version. I get my whites up to like 30% but I also don't have the blues so I have different colors like red/ green

I got 2 A8pro blue II last week. One syncs perfectly. But the other one lost time sync every single day, I need to log into the app and it's asked to sync the time and work well until the next day lost sync again.

X30 Blues running 11 months flawlessly. I run the in an aquatic life t5 hybrid, and run the t5 for the brightest 5 hours of the photoperiod.

I feel like an idiot for not fully understanding the difference between the Blue and Pro non Blue Radions. I was way off. Even the preset schedules on these A8 Pro Blues seem off.

The preset AB+ schedule was never properly adjusted to account for the differences between the none Blue A8 Lights. I’ve always noticed how blue the tank looks on AB+. The schedule pushes nearly every blue channel to 80 percent, except for one which is oddly lower, and keeps the rest around 19 percent. That made sense on the older fixtures (none blues)

But for the real Radion XR60 Gen6 Blues, AB+ present is essentially achieved by running all blue channels at 100 percent. When I last tested our Radion XR60 Blue on AB+ with a PAR meter, I checked each color at 50 percent and 100 percent. Sure enough, the schedule labeled AB+ in the app does not actually match true AB+ output. The white channels in particular are significantly lower, even though it says it’s the same program. Go figure. I've been running my system mostly blues and barely any whites.

I’d honestly love to ask the manufacturer why this is, but I doubt we would get a straight answer nor I doubt they'd care to update their present schedules for the Blue fixture.

Moving forward, I’m going to run a true AB+ profile with all channels at 100 percent, peak intensity at 55 percent for four hours, then taper the whites back down to 25%. Par at water surface is about 425 with the fixtures 12" about the water surface achieving 185 par in the middle of the tank.

I’m curious what others have found when running the default AB+ preset on their Blues, I'd strongly recommend noticing what I've mentioned since its surely not an AB+ spectrum by far. I really do enjoy these lights, but obviously they are not identical to the Radions when it comes to channels and color output and presents should be ignored if you have a Blue

There’s also an option within the Chinese configuration to download user profiles. I’m currently running the Darden schedule

Have you set the time zone for each light? If the time zone is not set correctly, the light will sync to your phone's time when you open the app, and then sync to the incorrect time zone when you close the app. Correcting the time zone to match your phone's time allows it to stay in sync.

Don't think it works the same, as soon as I go to download it its already been downloaded (same app im currently using) in english. Does sound interesting though seems more like radio in which you can upload files. What version A8 do you have?

It's the same app (AIPAI), but when you switch the language to Chinese it restarts with additional functionality. Maybe they left the user profiles out of the English version because the user base was primarily Chinese when the app was written? Seems like there are a lot of English speaking people who would appreciate the function now though.

Thanks for the valuable advice. Unfortunately, there is no Darden profile for the A8seII Blue. There is only one profile, which is ugly.
