So I had been measuring my alk regularly, and I thought it was being used up, so I kept increasing the elements. Finally when it kept dropping I realized it was an issue with pump #2 of my DOS. Apparently serials under 5000 have faulty roller assemblies and the liquid would siphon back into the jugs.

SO, what is the safest way to raise my alk? Can I do it all at once or should it I do it slowly over 24hrs?

Also, if you own a DOS and your serial is under 5000 go here to get a replacement set. They are free.
