How do i find this?Randy has a formula on here for making your own calibration liquid. It's worth a look just to be sure.
But it doesnt change when i do a water change . I was presuming at first it would just steadily go down but it hasnt . My past tanks i kept at between 8 - 8.4. And was all going sweet with the same methods and mix so that’s why i am confusedI keep my alk 10.7-11.2

@Randy Holmes-FarleyHow do i find this?
Yeah a wasnt talking exact numbers it was about that . It is not off i have just calibrated it again with the hanna liquid and it hasnt changed . I use a fresh sachet every month to be safeI highly doubt Pro Reef mixes at 8 DKH, I get 7.10 DKH almost every time at 1.0264 SG as tested with Hanna and a Misco Salinity tester. This tells me your refractometer is off, I found Hanna to consistently test .003 lower that it should and was confirmed with Triton test.
Parameters (approx)
Give the newly mixed water a test
- Alkalinity - 7
- Calcium - 440 ppm
- Magnesium - 1350 ppm
