Please try refill option. It should fill all the way up to the line or a few cenetemeters below the line until float is engaged. Please contact us on instagram or Facebook if you arestill encountering this issue.I just setup my aquawiz yesterday and the large box chamber only fills up about 2 inches of water. Not all the way to the line or float switch. Is this normal? I reached out to them on facebook yesterdayt and waiting to hear back.
The water level in the water box may drop for three possible reasons:![]()
My AquaWiz loses level in the main chamber. It isn’t leaking so I think it’s evaporation. The lid screw is tightened but the whole thing has a bit of a bow to it with the corners lifted up so I think that’s where the vapor is escaping. This is about 2 weeks worth of evaporation. Thoughts?
The lines are just for initial reference. Water height isn’t as important as the fact that both tubes are identical in height. Just make sure the are the same height and I have about 1.25” of water in them.Hey I seem to be having the same issue. What happened with this?
And iPads, a TV and a Laptop. Ask me why I have a whole house dehumidifier in my 180 Sq Ft fish room :)As long as the stand is ventilated and you have the humidity of the house maintained it should be fine. Super high humidity that leads to condensation situation will destroy the device.
I’ve installed one on Nov 26, so not a lot of experience. Started dosing AFR with it about 11/2 weeks ago. I also run a home made Kalk reactor (which is T’d off my ATO via a solenoid and is dosed based on pH), a CO2 scrubber and a refugium. The insight that hourly alkalinity measurements and continuous pH measurements (Apex) provide is of great use in my configuration. So far, I am exceedingly pleased as alkalinity is amazingly stable and measurements agree with my Hanna checker. My concerns: noise (I’ve now tucked it into a cabinet beside the tank and it is barely noticeable). Also, longevity: lots of parts to possibly fail at some time. Finally, the manual is not great but there are excellent vids available.Seems like there are a bunch of users of the aquawiz on this thread going back to last year. Would love to get honest and non sponsored reviews and thoughts of what they like and dislike of their units. Been considering this but also the KH guardian. Cheers
I don’t have a Trident, so can’t compare. You are probably, for your wife’s sake, going to need to put it in a cabinet and you can run it less frequently. If you search , someone has posted a video which fairly accurately depicts the noise level in a cabinet with the door opened and closed. We don’t really notice it much and it is located quite centrally on our main floor where we spend most of our time. Out of the cabinet was not tolerable in the long term. Otherwise no issues- it really was plug and play. Thanks for the feedback. What issues have you ran into so far? Have you measured the results against other alk testers besides Hanna to determine accuracy?
Regarding noise, how loud, like Neptune trident loud or less? Cause that drives my wife nuts during testing. Lol
I recently purchased the aquwiz. First day it ran perfectly and it was nice to see hourly test results. Day two it is completely unreliable with wide Kh readings. So far I am completely unsatisfied and would not use it for dosing. Hopefully I can figure out why it is so unreliable? I have a Trident hooked up to compare results. Thought the no reagents and hourly testing would be beneficial but at this point it has not proven to be reliable at allSeems like there are a bunch of users of the aquawiz on this thread going back to last year. I am dosing soda Ash. I don't think that is causing the error since the aquawiz has gone from a high of 8.93 at 2:42 to a low of 1.63 at 6:43 meanwhile Trident reports KH was at 8.63 at 2:19 and 8.81 at 8:09. The dang Aquawiz dosed my tank although I set it to dose only 10 ML per hour so it didn't spike the KH.What are you dosing to the tank and where is the line that draws water to the wiz?
