1) As previously stated, wicked algae growth in unit. I can’t put it in the “dark” as suggested. I guess I’ll have the first “black edition”.
2) it holds a calibration well. The PH probe reading is junk. I can’t get the PH to come within .30 of my calibrated PH probes for my display. I’ve done the calibration steps a dozen times. Thoughts?
3) I purchased this as I really want to add the CARX controller, which I now have. Demtri (Treasure Corals), whom I purchased from, stated that AquaWiz folks wanted to talk to me via WhatsApp regarding installing and setup. Do you know what this is about? I’ll be getting my new system wet next week and will get my CARX online then.

So I am not crazy. The PH is to be ignored. I’ll watch the other. Hopefully next weekend I’ll be hooking it up. Need some silicone to cure. One day I won’t clamshell a hole I drill.

Do I not need to keep an eye on the dkh of the reference water compared to the display tank water, and change ref water when there is a drift in dkh between the two? I’m confused.

Correct, you don’t need to replace the reference seawater regularly. Just clean the reservoir and test tubes once every six months and replace the reference seawater at the same time.

You don’t need to monitor the difference between the reference seawater and your display tank. With each calibration, the reference value will gradually align closer to the target, so the more you calibrate, the smaller the margin of error becomes. However, the most important thing is to calibrate at least once a month.

I’ve been running an AquaWiz in the U.K for a few weeks now. I am still in my first year of reef keeping. But this device has completely altered my ability to monitor, test and dose. My waters KH, pH and Ca has become so stable and so easy to deal with using Reef Zlements two part dosing system. I am over the moon. It gives more time and opportunity to deal with trace and micro elements.
I’m currently out of the U.K and in North Africa, and being able to get live data off AquaWiz.net is just brilliant.

I have been using Aquawiz KH Controller for a few months now.
I am running it with dosing All For Reef and the alk level been pretty steady.
I plan to add the Aquawiz calcium reactor controller in the near future when I switch to calcium reactor.

I came upon this as I am dosing AFR and measuring dKH with the Aquawiz and Hanna. I am trying to figure out how to avoid dKH swings of aprox 1dKH a day. Do you mind sharing if you dose daily all at once or do you break it up? I tired breaking the dosage up into 2 doses. And it attawhat point in the photoperiod is the dosing taking place?
