First time using all Hanna test and reading 6.7 what should I do how can I raise it safely
You need to know how much the tank consumes Alk. You can calculate this via testing alk today and tomorrow at the same time to have an idea. Then punch those numbers in the calculators provided. The dosing can provide that information to you.

Alternatively, we know you had it at 7dkh and now at 6.7 which meant you could be consuming around .5 (.3 to .5) dkh a day. Adding a few ml and raising it a bit higher would not hurt.

Interesting. Might be the monti. That's an alk sucker. Also check for how much coralline algae you have and adjust accordingly. Alk consumption is different at different times of day. At light peak, it will consume more and less at night.

Suggest to dose a bit ml more to stay ahead so you can reach 8 dKH.

This is says to dose 9.9 ml should I do 5 ml instead is it okay to have dose line going to my chamber 3? so it will not be near any coral. Also once I hit my target Dkh it is consuming .2 daily will I have to dose to make up for the daily consumption ? If my cal is In range will I need to dose cal as well I read they go hand and hand ?

you can put some dry salt, in a cup and slowly it'll rise. remove it when it's where you want it. lots of success doing it this way, as it's slow

What are you doing, and what are you trying to accomplish?

Do you mean putting dry salt mix in a cup and putting that into the tank? What for?

I went to my local reef store because my alkaline was dropping so I changed salt to Red Sea black lid and was still dropping he suggested dosing. I want better coral growth and color I have 3 monti and both my hammer split and my torch also and to keep my param stable between water changes

Dosing is normal and appropriate for most reef tanks. There are a great many suitable ways to do this.

Dosing what I have with the calculator is correct? And should I dose cal if dosing alka if my cal is at a level I want?

Yes, that should be fine. The amount of calcium at this point is insignificant, but dosing a very small amount is fine.

I started testing my perimeters lately and noticed I too have low alk at 5.5 using red sea blue bucket. Calcium 450.
I started researching & I bought avast k1 stirrer w/ kamoer fx-stp2 pump. However, I'm going to do some big water changes first and see if I can get my alk up.
