Hi, starting last week coraline algae starting dying in my 4 month old tank which was covered in it before. I test alk daily as well as my other parameters and everything has remained stable. It seems to be dying like there is a bacterial infection but all my acropora are still doing fine and encrusting. I will attach some photos as it has slowly spread and dyed throughout my tank. My bare bottom is like a mirror now where as last month you couldn't even see it. let me know what you guys think! Thanks
Alk 9
Calcium 450
Mag 1350
Phos- .05
Nitrate 10

This is how my tank looked last month for a comparison

Coralie algae after 4 months... Did you add or did it grow on its own.

Love the aquarium, aquascape

I added wavemakers which were covered in it from my old tank as well as all the bio media from it into my sump.

Do you have any urchins?

Also have you changed lights or changed lighting intensity recently? IME coralline algae is extremely finicky with modern LED's.

I had one urchin but pulled him out a while ago. My radions have been a little finicky in the morning with mobius not turning one or the other on but have kept everything the same.

Severe water changes will kill it, exposing it to air.
WOW! I never knew that! Same thing has happened to me! Its still all over my rocks but no longer on the back of tank. I do huge water changes every 2 weeks. 50 % because I dont really have a means to control nitrates! No refugium and small tanks so no room for any reactors or anything. Any suggestions to keep down nitrates. My fish suck at catching the food as well!
