Nice start. I'd split up the heaters and use a better branded heater. Too many heater failures exist in this hobby and people lose thousands over the course of a day:(

Split up between 2 250/300 watt heaters and use something like the Jager.

Good advice. I run two heaters in my 120g, both Jagers set with my Apex. I routinely get new heaters, every few years at least and swap out before a catastrophe. Then I use the old one in my mixing vats. I stash older ones in a box with dates and condition and if I need them they are ready to use.

my thoughts exactly
Looks like a top notch build...love the stand! Following along...
I'm definately following this one.

Thank you everyone. I got the stand and canopy delivered about a week ago, Aaron took some pics once they were in place. I'll post them shortly.

What do you have in the 39 gallon that you're putting in this tank?

Everything and more. :) All my acans and sps.

Can't wait!! Should be ready for the Paloza shopping spree.

Man I don't think I'm going to make it up and running by then. The sump builder is killing me!!!

Great idea and I will change things around and go that route. Funny thing is I've used Jager for 20+ years, but my last 2 heaters have gone haywire on me, so I recently tried a different brand. I was a life long Jager user. Well nothing is built perfect so I'm sure Jager users are still on the right side of percentages.

alicia, funny thing is I never took a pro active approach like that, but I definately should.

Here are some quick cell phone pics. I gotta really hand it to Aaron at the SPS Coral Store. He did a fantastic job!! Looks very much like the initial drawing he did for me.

The initial drawing my Aaron.
