hello everyone! I recently started dosing tropic Marin all for reef in my lps and soft coral tank. I’m not sure if I even need to dose but I decided to try it to see how it goes. After three days of dosing the water is now cloudy. Is this normal or a sign that I am dosing too much? Thank you

AFR at normal doses does not apparently lead to cloudy water.

What is your alkalinity?

How much did you dose to what size tank?

Unless you grossly overdosed or alk is very high, it is probably coincidence.

I had it happen when I used it. From what I could gather at the time, it is the bacteria processing the calcium formate into sodium bicarbonate (I believe). I would start with a low dose. It takes a few days to actually start working, and then your alk will go way up at once if overdosed. But @Randy Holmes-Farley can elaborate on that if I misspoke. But yes, I got impatient and overdosed, not realizing how AFR works.

My alk before I started was 7.7 and after two days of all for reef it is 8.3. I dosed 7.5 ml for a 40g breeder

Unless you really want alk higher, I’d suggesting dropping the daily dose.
