So question.... Why is the pre mixed All For Reef clear but when you mix it yourself it is tinted yellow?

if you use RO water, it dissolves to clear...same as premixed...for me every time. I use a magnetic mixer.

This is a chemistry question, best handled by @Randy Holmes-Farley, in that forum.
Id guess it has to do with mixing procedures, temp, time or agitation.

This has already been answered by @Randy Holmes-Farley. It's caused by iron, and manganese which causes the yellowish brown color that is harmless

My powder mix will mix clear (using magnetic stirrer) but as it settles the container will show yellow

I’ve heard that the increase in trace elements in the new formula can cause a discoloration - having said that, I mix mine in fresh RO with no color
