I had an exterminator come in and treat for carpenter ants using Delta Dust. They recommended covering my tanks.
I purchased a 20' x 30' clear plastic drop cloth from a local hardware store and wrapped everything under the one drop cloth from top to bottom. I filled my compressor and set it to a slow bleed so that I had positive pressure withing the enclosure, preventing anything from coming in.
@Krzydmnd: Nice call! I usually look at that cause as something further down the troubleshooting chain. But with a protein skimmer, it is easy to get airborne chemicals into the tank. Sometimes something as simple as scented candles can create problems.
