Not the puppy disease, not pseudo science, or pseudo nutrition, but real live nutritional additions to your saltwater tank and it’s biome, and you can get it “a la cartia” or in our newest products. So @Ocean_Queenie has had her culture going for 7 day now and it is looking really good. Not quotes done, but with losing air to her Rhodosomas on the first night she is super pleased. Here is what it is looking like now.

Notice the pod water is really light, so she poured a little water through a sieve and man was she impressed with the number of Apocyclops pods she has grown. She added them back and added a little more phyto. And this is what it looks like with the lights on.

Notice how much lighter the phyto looks when lit. You have to turn the lights off to check it as you can see how dark it is in the first picture. She is going to split and restart her phyto when we get back from picking up our daughter from school.

I have about a 115g system and I currently dose phyto about 15ml every other day or so. NO3 12.5 and PO4 0.02 last weekend. NO3 is usually under 10 but I kicked up my auto feeder considerably while I was out of town last week so im expecting that to come down after changing feeding after coming back home.

What dose of phyto would be proper in my situation?

Sorry I didn’t see this earlier. Getting all the prep done for cold weather shipping today. I dose 2 ml per gallon actual volume per day. I’m getting closer to 3 ml in my S1000 as I have clams, Christmas tree worms, and a lot of softies in it. Also to promote pod density and colonization because I heavily stock my tanks and have multiple dragonets and other “Pod Hunters”.

I would look to increase your dosing to at least 115 ml per day to see benefits in your corals and others. Seem to be running pretty solid numbers so I would watch to see what it does for you nitrates and phosphates as it can bring them down as the live phytoplankton consumes it.
