I am almost done with my new 150 gallon reef ready tank stand. Now the fun begins with the plumbing. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The stand looks terrific!

Question: Where will the pipes from the DT go in order to get to the sump? Through the opening in the stand at the skimmer end of the sump? Or are you going to drill holes in the top of the stand? Is this going to be a peninsula build?

Looking good.

I've used through the bottom drilled tanks for decades. Having tried one drilled through the back (well, end, in this case), I'll NEVER go back to 'standard' overflows again. BeAnAnimal type drain, with a dry emergency, gives you a safe and fuzzy feeling :)

I am going to drill through the top of the stand. The tank has two drain and two return lines in the bottom corners of each side.
Hi any issues having a bottom drilled tank? I want to build one that is bottom drilled/internal OB so I can conceal the pipes though it would take space in my Dt. Thanks

No not really. I do have a bulk head fitting that comes loose when I mess with the standpipe but other then that it works great.

Noticed this is a bit of an old thread, but that is very nice work!
