Today I got home from work and after doing my usual tank inspection, I noticed that my Halloween hermit looked like it was ripped out of his shell but I don’t have anything in my tank strong enough to do that, but I got to work to see if I could remove the “corpse” after a few attempts of trying to remove it I almost took the shell out of the tank but decided to leave it in as “decoration” but to my surprise a few minutes later I saw my hermit crab still in its shell which only then reminded me that these guys get bigger and molt and I almost threw him away 🥸 I’m not sure why but this was actually the first time that I was completely thrown off guard in my short reef keeping experience 😭 also as u guys can see I have started the ugly stage 🎉
