So today I've started wrapping the stand. Didn't get very far as I popped out to have a chat about stocking the new tank but it's all still up in the air.

Just using chromatic automotive vinyl I wouldn't say it's perfect but better then seeing the wood beneath

So bit of a big update for a change!

I had been racking my brain how to move the tank on my own as it needed to go back to the wall and act as the room divider we had planned.

I decided to tank the sump plyboard base back up and screw some 6x2 across the bottom stand supports and use a car jack along with a broom handle. It worked perfectly!

So now the tank is in position I fitted the overflow bulkheads, the sump plyboard base, foam for the sump and the sump itself.

I have drained the live rock for the last time as I will fight the phosphate once in the tank without corals in there as I have a month to go for the fallow period to be over in the frag system (what's left of it)

So anyways hope you enjoy the photos

So it was my little lads first birthday so took him to the deep at Hull (surprise surprise) couldn't care for the main tank but the lagoon tank and reef tank were ace, never seen such large, fat and healthy fish was a joy to see them especially fox faces that looked like torpedoes haha

Stop off at KKC on the way home to stop back up a quarantine tank with new fish so ended up with three pyramid butterflies, a copperband and four bartlett anthias. Couldn't be happier with them at the moment, the copperband was attacking food like a tang at the wholesalers but waiting to see it feed tonight.

So I got a very heavy pallet this morning from Germany.

This made me get my **** in gear and finalise the Aquascape...... For now [emoji23][emoji23]

Gone for a less is more lagoon style scape trying to make the most of the depth with arches and flat spaces for corals

Got 600 litres of RODI made up already and should have another 600 litres by morning so just need to finish the pipework and make the light fixture.

So I have started filling the tank after completing the plumbing but need to grab some pictures. Today I have been making my wiring panel and my lighting fixture.

The lighting fixture is 7ftx3ft of it5080 and it5012 semigrow Pro v2 lights. This will be hung from the roof but I will be drilling through the roof to the rafters above and screwing into those so you won't see any messy hardware.

I will then make a pelmet around the fixture out of MDF wrapped matt black

So today I finished filling the tank and used the ATI absolute ocean which has made me never want to use traditional salt again it was just so easy and unlike weighing out salt the measures are always correct.

I've got a couple of eBay powerheads in there until I can free up my apex off the frag tank and put the classic on there which I got secondhand along with a standalone ATO by autoaqua.

I also have a couple of SW8 jebaos coming for the frag tank and a DP4 doser to try out.

The tank has had a 5 micron sock on and both return pumps running without any issues considering my unauthodox approach to plumbing but never had an issue yet.

Added the first dose of seachem stability which I have a couple bottles spare so going to try this out instead of ATM colony which is my go to product.

Fish should be in tomorrow fingers crossed all four of them haha

So today I mounted the lighting fixture and got the lights hooked up. The wiring needed to be extended so that was a ballache aswell as the fixture has been bolted into the roof rafters above as I am in a bungalow.

Little bit more work done on the electrical panel. Next job is to extend my vortech driver wires and get them on so I can ditch the ebay powerheads lol
