So I had a scare with my ATO today which I run kalk in and it just made me want to switch over to a Calcium reactor even more. Just to make it known this was not my ATO’s fault or a malfunction. I was working in the sump while some coral was floating in bags in my display that then ended up stuck to the teeth of my overflow not allowing the display to drain into the sump fast enough causing ATO to kick on. So it did exactly what it was supposed to do. However, my problem is that I do not have the room inside my cabinet stand or in the area outside of my tank to fit and store both the reactor and CO2 tank (tank sits in corner of living room between 2 couches so space is tight, pic attached). Before I just switch to Dosing I was hoping people with a little more knowledge could educate me on some other options. Maintaining Alkalinity is not an issue in my tank for some reason, however calcium and pH were always low until I started running kalk in my ATO water. Currently I am carbon Dosing manually every evening but that’s all I’m Dosing at the moment. Tank is mostly SPS dominated with good amount of LPS and some BTAs.
Any and all suggestions and feedback appreciated. Full tank specs are:
