I'm building out a 60"x30" system for grow out that will have 3 x Radion XR30W G4 Pro lights.

I'm working with someone from framingtech.com to get a stand built and would like to find a way to mount the lights to the stand as I will not have anywhere to hang the lights from.

Has anyone built an aluminum mount/rail to hold a G4? Looking for some ideas here, pics if you got em!

I've used T-Slot aluminum to hang my Radion on my 375. I'm down sizing to a 175g and will T-slots again. For the 375 I hung the T-slot from the ceiling. For my 175 I am attaching the L shaped frame to the back of my stand and then attached one of the RMS slide rails in which I would mount. Send me a PM with your Phone # and I can text you some photos. May give you some ideas. Mike

I used the 15 series T Slot to make this rack. The Radion mount did require slight modification with a Dremel to allow the mount to slide in the T slot groove.

I had a 84" long peninsula tank. I supported the end against the wall basically with a 2x4 bolted to the stud, I then attached 2 6" long metal flats (the ones with holes available at hardware stores) to create a channel for the T-slot bar to rest in. The other end I hung from the ceiling using two SS cables. It was very secure.

Creating a strong bulwark: Did you consider floor support for your reef tank?
