Today I picked up a nice sized alvepora at the LFS. It's millimeters away from growing off the frag plug on all sides. I plan to keep it on the sandbed. I have a 6 headed duncan on the sandbed that I just left on the plug and buried it. Of course it branches off so no worries about the plug. As for the alvepora. Once the skeletal base outgrows the frag. Will it continue to grow on the sandbed? Or should I find some flat rock to place it on? May seem silly but I read up and it seems to be hit or miss on survival so I want it to have the best chances to thrive. TIA
