I
found this at the LFS in the live rock bin... they cut it off for $5... I think it is a St. Thomas, but looks like what a lot call Rhodactus so I'm unsure.

It is about 3" across when inflated.

I say rhodactis.

The problem with mushroom IDs is there is no "official" classification (like what exists for stony corals).

Could be Discosoma carlgrini. Really hard to tell with some shrooms and some are even hybrids I believe.

It def looks like a carlgreni as well.


As far as most people care, mushroom is a fine name, but I always feel better knowing a species I guess....
