I would. They’re murderous sobs. They grow insanely fast though. it will regain form ridiculously quick After a good chopping.

Thanks. Should I put putty or something on areas where it’s creeping up the rock and nearing other coral?

You could but it won’t work. It will simply overgrow it. I’d use a metal pick to scrape it back but again only temporary, I swear you can see that coral grow! Fastest I’ve ever seen and their sweeper tentacles are nothing to mess with.
