I don't understand it either. But I am guilty of the sentence thing. I do try to make an effort when posting something, but when I'm just sending a text to someone it gets pretty bad.

I had to proofread some papers for my English Comp professor's high school class a couple years ago. Unfortunately, as serious a grade that these papers were, about 70-80% of them had terrible spelling, punctuation and sentence structure. Now, I'm not perfect but these papers were atrocious. But then again, I have to work with some 40-70 year old professionals for Engineering courses, and some business ventures of mine. Their grammar/structure was very similar to the high school kids. It was pretty amazing in a bad sense.

The caps up and down thing is a fad I guess. I really don't understand it or ever will.

I added punctuation to your mess up there to make it a little more understandable as to where a sentence starts and ends. This is not a byproduct of the education system as I don't think a teacher would ever tell a student to write this way. It is a pre-teen with a cell phone, attempting to look cool by showing they know how to capitalize letters. To make it worse, "OMG" and "LOL" has been added as words to the english language dictionary. We can't even tell someone "LOL" isn't a word anymore...

This rant could get much larger but I'll stop here. :crossedlips:

I think the lack of punctuation was intentional, if not it certainly fits the theme.

Punctuation was intentional. Thanks for demonstrating your knowledge of grammar, I'm excited that it isn't the education system. (Not implying anything, just saying thanks). As for the rant, please proceed....

It really irks me non-teens do this, intentionally.

Teens and pre-teens have always created things that they think are cool. The more it annoys those of us that have matured into having some sense, the more successful they think they are at being "cool". It's all about rebellion and making sure you don't act and do as you were taught by the older generation because you are so much smarter than your parents and know what is the "right" way. Some people never grow out of it. I used to work with a guy that was so stuck in the "1960's" lifestyle that he could not effectively function as an adult.
