Got this Acro yesterday, I put it in the frag tank which is SPS free and I think I see bite marks on it, what do you think?

Did you dip it/blast it with a baster?? Its tough to tell from that pic. I personally can't see any obvious bite marks.

So you bought a frag yesterday and then put it in the frag tank? How sure are you that you're pest free if you don't utilize a QT process?

Russian roulette is not a fun game to play with aefw.

Where do you see bite marks? I'm not seeing them either.

It definitely looks stressed. I'm sure after a dip and a hit with the turkey baster you'll find out.

I dont see anything definitive either.

He said the frag tank is sps free so in essence it is not far off from being in qt.....

Yes I dipped it and didn't see anything but wasn't sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me or not. I've got zero SPS's in my frag tank, it's all Z's n P's. When I was acclimating the new Acro I thought I saw something so I put it in there so I couldn't infect my DT. I never put SPS frags in the frag tank anyhow, I put them on my Powerstation in the DT because I feel they hold their good looks better in the DT rather than in the frag tank. It looks extra stressed because I was messing with it moving it around trying to get a good pic. Took me about 10 min to get this one...

I take any new acro and remove it from whatever its mounted on toss the old remount it-sure you're gonna stunt the the growth for a short time but you're not going to get any eggs. I'd recommend this route for anyone who can't or doesn't have a QT in place. I inspect every stick with a 10x magnifying glass as well and those of us that have had those suckers know if they are on the actual acro, it'll be dead tissue and there is no hiding them-not on frags anyway, maybe a colony-

Nothing jumps out at me, but I think I can see where you're eyes may be playing tricks on. I'd still chop it off the substrate and reattach it to some rubble. If you've ever had AEFW hindsight is ****.

Starting to build the stick collection are we?

I know that, you've got a few I'd like to add to my collection

It was the "first SPS in the frag tank" which can mean the beginning of the great hoard

One of my experiences of reefing and bite marks came from a emerald green crab that got the taste for all of my stags. If he came across them her would stay for hours eating bits. I thought it was my flame angel but caught him on web cam eating half my green stag. Not sure what you have in the QT tank but just letting you know that is possible for something to nip at it.
