Regardless, it sounds like using the HI713 will at least put me in the ballpark and prevent me from going much too high.
I agree with this.

Wanted to show off using this in my tank.
My system runs essentially zero Iodine when I don't add it.

I measured baseline tank water, and then added Red sea Trace A (Iodine) that should raise Iodine to 0.060ppm Measured again 30 min later and again 4hr later.

This was using the recommended checker, the hi707.

...but you can use one of the hanna checkers at 525nm green LED, like the PO4 checkers and you get almost the same thing. Because it works by measureing the fraction of color removed, so the actual values of the readings don't matter.
So here's same water samples tested with a different checker with a green LED.

1251030.176068.50.056

So here's what it looks lijke comparing the two. Almost the same regardless of which checker and whether the LED is blue or Green.

I obtainec good results using the LR Phosphate Checker.
@Rick Mathew @Dan_P @taricha you guys are awesome I want to thank you for putting this work in.

I'm going to place an order for the supplies and will report back.

@Rick Mathew one thing I noticed in your video is your A & B reagents had a hanna sticker on them are you using something different?

Just making sure this is the right reagents...

This is the correct reagent kit. Very observant about the Hanna containers! I used some old Alk reagent bottles to put the Red Sea reagents in. It makes them much more accessible than the dropper containers for using the pipette.
