How do you think these would go with the new Radion G5 blue? To compliment the Radions. Kinda like a hybrid?
Your colors and growth rate should be phenomenal!!

What do you all think about using these lights as stand alone fixtures? Would one blue plus and one reef daylight work for a tank? Would you alter what diodes are in either one considering that it would no longer be for supplementation?

People are doing it. I recommend 2 Blue plus and one 50/50 in center

I have 2 of these OR blue plus bars on my 425xl and love them. It’s nice to see technical data behind these as well.

495s are called cyan, but they sure look green in the tank when on the ends. I can show you a pic, and I would not recommend 495s on the end of a fixture.

Your talking about the reef day plus or2 bar? Yea I couldn’t do it, I returned it. I will have to ask for custom ones because I do want one but it was bright on the ends.

I currently have a 6’ tank that I have 3 Radion Gen 4 xr30 pros along with a 60” t5 hybrid light. I am wanting to switch out the T5’s for something like this.

If I go Orphek, I would go with 2 of the OR3 blue plus in 48” (I’m hoping it won’t be too short)
Or I’m also looking at 2 of the Reefbreeders 60” Blue/UV Hybrid.

What’s you opinions or advice?

Go with the 60 inch OR3. Plus they're giving 10% off to buy 2 of the 60 inch versions as a promo.

My only complaint is I can get 2 of the 48” for $380 and I’m over $600 for the 60”. I’m just wondering if it’s worth the extra $225???

Ahh, I see. They're just supplemental light to your main fixtures so you certainly can get away with the 48 inch versions. You'd just know you'd likely have some PAR drop off and maybe a little darker on the ends.

Although a little pricey, the OR3 150 (60") model is now available. If you buy 2, its discounted to $285 each. I hate to see how long you will wait to receive them in transit.

Well I just pulled the trigger on 2 of the 150’s (60”). The sales team claims they have been shipping these out for the last month, and said I will have them within 2 weeks. I ordered the blue plus and came to $585 with their 10% discount. I will post up pics when they arrive......I’m stoked to get rid of my t5’s.
