I'm using the same lighting. I was going to start with them 16" from the water surface. I may lower them a bit once I start stocking it with SPS.

Not sure who makes the bulb and right now on my 29 I'm not running supplemental light. I was going to on the new setup but doesn't look like it's going to work out now

Will do. Here's a small update.

Yesterday diatoms started. Today ran the lights only 4 hours and the diatoms look alot better.

Water tested and everything is perfect

Going to mount my sps in better flow so I picked up some epoxy and will do it tomorrow

Since there isn't alot of fish for nanos I'd love to go invert crazy. Any ideas? Right now there's blue legs crabs, turbos, zebra snails, cerith snails, peppermint shrimp in 30 and cleaner shrimp in 30. Want to get peppermint shrimp and cleaners in the 27 also

I'm wanting some more cool inverts like bigger hermits or shrimp or starfish

Well I've been bad about updating here but here's what's happened. Snowflake died on the 5th. Battling gha. Rescaped the 27. Got a hammer colony.
