I'm going to try and start selling some of the zoas and other softies locally, if I can.

I really love how this coral has come back from near certain death. I'm not sure how to carve out the dead skeleton, but i figure that giving it more time to heal before taking out the saw can't be a bad idea.

I feel so dumb.

I bought a new salinity probe a year ago because my probe had gone on the fritz. It ended up stabilizing out and I got too lazy to replace it.

Flash forward to this week when it just stopped sending a signal. I went ahead and replaced it. Well after calibrating it, I realized that my salinity is at 32.3!

I've made some dumb mistakes in this hobby, but the one I consistently make is on my darn Eshopps external overflow boxes. I will never use these again.

I was working to install new elbows and soft tubing on my system to make the process of changing out my filter socks easier. I later figured out that it would be easier to get rid of the socks and replace them with filter cups. Huge thanks to @Reefer5640 for the recommendation.

After installing the new plumbing I noticed a steady leak coming from the overflow. Flash forward to this evening when at least 15 gallons had leaked out of my system. When I tried to diagnose the issue I recognized that I had made the same darn bulkhead gasket mistake with these overflows that I had made when adding my bonus tank.

I was then really dumb and tried to remove the overflow without sufficiently draining the tank. Needless to say, my floor, t-shirt and boxer shorts are significantly more salty than when I started this repair.

I got smarter and drained about 25 gallons from the system.

My comedy of errors continues. I refilled the tank, made some more water and then decided to check the second overflow. I had made the same gasket error on this side.

So, I brought out the bucket brigade again and repeated the process.

After six years in this hobby, I finally got an anemone to host a clowning.

Now if I could just keep the anemone from doing a world tour of the tank, I'd be all set.

I got around to installing our christmakah presentation this weekend. I'm curious to see what the extra flow will do.

It's also a good reminder that it's time to clean my existing wavs. I set the existing wavs to the same program as the new ones. The difference in power was palpable.

It looks like I need to invest in some new screen lids. I have lost two fish to jumping in thr last six months.

Most frustratingly, this was my most successful anthias.

I've been having some issues with my alk dosing. After replacing my reagents, I decided I'd try and replacing the lines for the DOS as well.

After resetting my Apex for the 3000th time I decided that I needed to conquer this rats nest and made the area behind my tank more accessible.
