Hi everyone.
My name is Andrea and I live in Italy.
I'm 48 years old and I enjoy with fish tanks since I was 21.
I wish to have a saltwater aquarium, but... peace in family is more important than dreams (my wife bears me and my "covered" Juwel Rio 400 freshwater aquarium) so, it's not "allowed" to have an open tank in my living room.
I'm ready to change my fish tank with a new Aquatlantis Fusion 120x50 that is waiting for me in the garage since May 2019... I hope to fit it out in the next month.
I was surfing the net looking for an alternative to my "old" (but still valid) IKS Aquastar... and I was attracted by the Reef-Pi project.
I "play" with my Raspberry -Pi 3 Moldel B+ with HomeAssistant, but I don't know anything about electricity, however a friend of mine that is able with it, told me that he can help me in any moment.
I emailed with Ranjib and he suggested me to join this forum for the support I need and that I'm sure you will give me.
I will ask you a little strep by step help to try to configure my "little" automation for my aquarium... nothing so difficult (for you)... but very hard for me.
The main problem is that some hardware that is in the system is not available in my country (for example the ADJ SR P8 power strip), but Ranjib told me that with the new version of Reef-Pi, some smart plugs are compatible with the system.
I was looking for the smart plugs and one model is available in Italy... but I will ask you in the thread I will open and I'm sure you will suggest me the right way to create my Reef-Pi system.
