Some Majano love!! They look happy as heck :) Tank looks great too, a little bit of everything in there.

This one is a @Tamberav appreciation post for contributing these beautiful anemone accents to my tank! I lost mine several years ago in a tank crash, and I am excited to have them again now.

Well folks, yesterday I went to the LFS just to see what they had in stock, and before I knew it I was remodeling my tank and trading in a huge coral colony to make room for a new addition!

I didn't leave home planning to do that, but this Magnifica is huge and in perfect health, so I jumped at the opportunity. I think I have all the colors covered now - red, orange, yellow, green, purple here, and blue when the Gigantea is big enough to come upstairs.

Also, some of the nems were looking droopy in the morning, so I changed the carbon. Just leaving a note so I can start tracking how often I need to do that...

Life has been pretty busy, but I feel I need to update this, if only so I remember stuff later. Let's see...

Got a new BTA.
Rescued an LTA.
Moved all of my hospital basket anemones into an isolated segment of my sump.
My Chicago Sunburst split.
My green BTA & blue gigantea were looking rough, and my Riterri took a walk into a powerhead today (really thankful for the guards I installed). So I did a water change and changed out the carbon.

Quick update, I moved some corals out and moved some to the frag tank, just enough to bring up some of the anemones!

It's a little taller than I wanted, but the rock on top with a BTA can go back to the sump if the BTA moves. I'm blasting it with lots of flow, so hopefully it will be "encouraged" to move soon.
That is gorgeous!

The tank looked pretty good yesterday so I took a quick video. I cleaned the glass, and I gave away the photosynthetic sponge in the front so I could see the LTA that had been hiding behind it.

The riterri is still annoyingly happy on the glass, I brought up my "gold tipped" BTA from ebay, which is clearly green tipped with a purple base, and the gigantea is still SLOWLY growing in the sump.

There are issues when I don't use carbon, but so far it's been fine keeping them together for the last few months while running carbon. Although, this might be why the gigantea is growing more slowly than I had hoped.

Not much of an update, but this made my day. Lately, the gigantea has been hanging out near a macroalgae light in the sump, so I haven't really been monitoring it's color as it just looks like this:

But today I had the light off and I noticed it's shifting color from teal to a very vibrant blue!

Still not growing much though. Any food suggestions? I usually feed chopped scallops about once or twice a week.

I think that's going to be a nice one! The richer blue color is exciting to see!

My Gigantea has really colored up a lot lately, so I added some rock for it to settle into. And it did just that! It won't be much longer before this little nem finally goes to the display!

My smaller gigs like frozen mysis. Maybe vary up your feeding selection a bit--by adding foods like sush-grade tuna and/or salmon, as well as shrimp without additives like STPP--to get it to grow bigger, and faster.
