My smaller gigs like frozen mysis. Maybe vary up your feeding selection a bit--by adding foods like sush-grade tuna and/or salmon, as well as shrimp without additives like STPP--to get it to grow bigger, and faster.
I am feeding tuna, scallops, and mysis, one of the three about once a week.

Let's see... two weeks ago I moved my maxi mini to the sump because it was doing poorly. Last week I changed my carbon because it AND my Riterri were looking rough. Today they'ne both been improving so I decided to make attempt number 2 for my Riterri on a rock shelf. The shelf is about 2 inches higher now, and both flow and light are slightly stronger than last time. Here's hoping it likes it!

Just make sure that the mag can't walk to the back of the rock and then up the wall, because if it can, it will!

What happened to your Ritteri?
It took a long walk over to the front left wall. It stayed there for a long time, but I can tell it wasn’t good for it because it's been slowly shrinking for a the last few months. It's looking much better now, just two days on the rock, so I really hope it stays this time.

I had a really good experience with Aqua SD this week, and picked up a second LTA, 2 waratahs, and something called a "strawberry anemone" which I've never seen for sale before. This thread shows my new additions pretty nicely:

Thanks for bringing us along on your journey!

Coming back here to carry on, although I've had a rough couple of weeks...

My magnifica continued to decline. As did a couple BTAs. As did several corals. I did numerous water changes, fed more, fed less, etc. But I lost them all, over a period of a few weeks. I've been really upset about it, which is why I haven't updated this thread in forever. In the end, I learned it was a combination of low nutrients and low pH. I had removed my protein skimmer a long time ago, and recently disconnected my frag tank to treat an algae outbreak. The loss of those two water circulation systems led to an average pH of 7.8, which I hadn't been checking.

After things stopped dying, I remodeled the rockwork, removed some of the RBTAs, and basically got a fresh start.

I am also still determined to keep magnificas, and, on the off chance I am dealing with too much allelopathy, I am starting up a second tank for that express purpose.

All told, it hasn't been all bad. I moved my Gigantea to the display. The clowns immediately took to it, but fortunately they have been gentle.

And my LTA has been doing fantastically, despite being hidden in a corner where I can't see it too well.

I'm hoping to start doing updates more frequently again. Here's hoping things are headed up from here. And I think I'll be the proud new owner of Colorado Sunburst soon, so that'll be a nice addition, assuming it plays well with my RBTAs and my Chicago.

Nice tank and thanks for taking us through your ride. A lot of good info and learning from your trials and movements of anemones. It’s been helpful to me

How is your orange waratah doing? I thought they were more colder water (maybe I misread that somewhere?)

Oh yeah! I have 3 cold water nems, still kicking. They're in a basket so I can make sure they get fed since they're NPS. I'm running the tank at 77 Fahrenheit and they seem to be handling it well. I'll take a picture soon and post it.

That is interesting and good to hear. I purposely didn’t bid on them in auction (maybe could have been you and me duking it out if I did lol).

What do you feed them?

I feed all my nems shredded tuna and scallops. Sometimes mysis. It seems to work pretty well.

Here's a picture I just took today. It's tricky to get them all open at the same time because, being non-photosynthetic, they don't open just because the light is on.
