How high do you have those Kessils cranked up?
Cranked all the way up and fully turned towards the blue spectrum. Sometimes I’ll turn them down if they look unhappy.
On around 7 or 8 and off before bed between 8 and 10. I accidentally left the lights on all night and ran downstairs when I woke up worried...but most of them were out like nothing happened.
I like manually turning them on/off and up/down...but may change that come summer when we are out more.
Healthy BTAs sure love light!

Awesome tanks you have set up. Any tips on how you manage so many anemones (par, flow, water chemistry, ect.) ?
So far it’s been pretty easy! On the weekend I’ll pull 30g from the main display and do 5g water change on all the anemone tanks.

Par has to be like 700 or higher directly under the Kessils with narrow reflectors...but I don’t have a par reader so just a guess. I’ll borrow one from a friend one day just to see.

Flow is just the stock return pump. I added another small power head to the Chicagos because they are so long and droopy without it.

Water chemistry is similar to the display from the 30% weekly water changes. No dosing.

No ato...just manually top off in the morning with ro...takes 1 minute. Three days before I absolutely need to top off... no issues from the anemones with salinity changes...which is nice.

Split updates!

Started with/now:
Rainbows 20/30
Chicagos 3/4
Colorados 5/9
Widows 3/5

Sold the 4 Rastas...going to go with something different. Any suggestions?

I got a lot of splits from the tank transfers! But not all positive...also lost the red carpet in the transfer

A lot has happened in the last month! All the anemone tanks are set up and running.
No loses...but only a few splits.

I’m selling the carpets...want to use their 25g lagoon as the Colorado grow out because I feel they will outgrow the 20g eventually.

That would be hard for me to part with the carpets. Such a rare blue color too. We never see those in Canada and if we do they go for $600+.

How about putting them in the 75? Or if your concerned about the size, don’t feed them. They won’t grow and will shrink a little bit.

Thanks for the idea!
I put the smaller green one in this morning to test it out...so far so good.
Will add the giant purple tomorrow if all goes well. Then the blue a few days later

The anemones on the left looked very similar to the ones (on the right so I’m trying the mix...we shall see
I’m guessing under the same light they will look identical in a week or two.
I’m guessing they are some strain of Chicago

Have you ever measured your PAR in any of the tanks? I'm curious, because everything I've read says BTAs need "SPS level" light, but most people I ask have them in 150-ish PAR or less.

When I did my initial light setup, I used a PAR meter and saved "schedules" (AI app) for my tank at 100, 125, 150, 175 and 200 PAR (measured right in the middle of the cube). It's a 10g cube, so there's not much room for them to move closer to, or get away from the light.

Now that I'm ready to add my first anemone, I'm wondering where to start.
