Hey what anemones can live together without harming each other?

I was thinking of doing a tank with carpets, BTA, and LTA. :)

most nems will respond to other species with chemical warfare, and direct contact will definitely not make them happy

Best to keep it genus specific

I saw a anemone specific nano at WWC that had Carpets, LTA, and BTA's in it so I was wondering.

Its not too unusual for people to have success with multiple species, but most of the time they are running heavy filtration with lots of carbon. Nems have a tendency to release chemicals or even their nematocysts when they start competing for space with other species. If you can keep the water clean and the nems separated you could prob do it, but there is no guarantee

also, without assuming too much about the setup at WWC, the multiple nem setup is generally a short term display, rarely lasting more than a year without running into issues

Ok that helps a lot actually. I was thinking of doing a temp set up for MACNA for looks at the R2R booth. :) Then when I get home adding them to different tanks. This is still in the thought process for me though. :)

keep us updated! A short term display shouldnt be a problem as long as the anemones dont wander into each other
