Looks good, be interesting to see what it looks like when you have a move around too.

I wouldn't worry too much about the anemone if your parameters are good, keep an eye on the ammonia though. I bought my second anemone bubble tip and he looked awful for the first few days but he looks ok now. Before and after pic. He's a little bleached but that's how I bought him

Thanks! I had a really nice looking layout when I was playing around with the rock on a table, but just haven't been able to get it perfect in the tank yet.

I hope mine makes a recovery like that, that looks really nice! Then I can only hope the clowns will like it too.

Slow day at the office, got around to watching the rest of the video. He says something about if they go missing in the rock work, you shouldn't just leave them as they might die in there. If I can't find it tonight should I go looking?
I kinda want to rearrange my rock anyway, now that all the stupid fake coral is out and I have more room just to get a nicer rockscape for future corals.
On a side note: what does everyone do as far as rock scaping? Do you just stack or glue?
He is me. Yes, if it vanishes, I'd then pivot the rock around so it gets light. You purchased a very small anemone, so it's going to take some TLC to make sure it survives.

You mentioned replacing the lighting... what do you have now?

Grab a credit card and clean the area close to the substrate. It will make your tank look much better immediately.

Stacking rock in that size tank is probably good enough. If you wanted to bond them together, you'd use 2-part epoxy putty to attach them. Glue won't work with rock-to-rock connections.

Rearranged the tank, found the nem! He was still under the rocks, made a nice little spot for him up front with a crevice for him to attach, and some shade from rock above. Hope he stays, left the power heads off for about an hour. He didn't look to happy. Turned them back on and he looks much better.

I have a current orbit marine, planning on adding the pro version to it. Can I use a credit card as you mentioned on acrylic?

They love flow, so don't give up. It's just so darn small. I'd suggest feeding it half a piece of krill every other day for the time being.

Yes, a credit card/gift card/hotel keycard are great for scraping acrylic and not scratching it.

Yes, feed it tiny bits of food. Hopefully it will be sticky enough to hold onto the food and ingest some morsels.

While they can be moody, yours may not make it unfortunately. Did you do every water test you could today?

Any news on your anemone
nem didnt make it, Luckily i was able to move it to a temporary set-up using water from a water change so it wasnt in the main tank. it lasted a few more days but then wouldnt eat and its mouth was huge. then just started to fall apart, looked really nasty. planning to get a new light, just not sure what i want to get, then might try again, but leaning more towards softies.

I'm kind of wondering if when it was hiding in the rocks near the two camel shrimp, if maybe they irritated it past the point of return? One of the shrimp ended up dead not long after that. Regardless I'm reluctant to try again, just a lot of risk with my intakes and pumps, I do plan to rehome the camel shrimp before I get a new light and get some shrooms and zoas. Thanks for all you help everyone!!!

hey everyone, sorry to bring back an old thread, but Wanted to get some thoughts. So i have added a small zoa colony to the tank 3 weeks ago, apart from my paranoia about it declining, it is doing well. I am thinking of ordering more livestock for friday delivery. Also I such mention I picked up a used AI Hydra w/controller ( has 4 pucks) that will be here friday- monday. thinking of keeping the orbit and using it if there is any shadowing.

I'm thinking of trying a nem again, because i really want one for the clowns. But am now concerned about it killing zoa and mushrooms, that I have and the ones I plan to add. The tank is only 50 gallons also. do I have enough room? I would be adding 7 individual mushrooms and 5 more polyp frags, 6 total. I would also like to have 2 featherdusters.

I am just a little shy about adding one again after last time, however water parameters are on spec, and now testing for cal, phosphates, dkh in addition to before. Ammonia is at Zero now! also should mention I would be getting the medium size not small like last time. -- main concern really is that it will kill the other corals.

Help me please, before I overthink it too much!!!
