Hello,

I picked up a piece of liverock last week and have noticed some hitchhikers. I would be very grateful for any ideas on what they are. The liverock is sitting in my quarantine tank until I figure it out.

I started sharing the light from my main tank for an hour a day to see if anything would show up in the tank, which is when I started seeing what I think may be anemones.
They don’t actually seem to like the light, since they are perched at the top of the rock when it’s dark, and slowly move away to the side of the rock after the light is turned on. There are 2 possibly 3 of these.
They do have a soft looking base, a little balloon like. They suck in ( not quickly) when I poke them with an object.

The rock also came covered in black stuff. I think the black stuff is encrusting sponge?

thanks!
