What does the underside of the oral disc look like? Smooth or like this?

( ignore the damage to the foot )

I bought a bleached BTA from my LFS and it looked exactly like the OP. It behaves as if it is completely healthy: good feeding response, mouth not agape. Feeding mysis. Three months later and it is still bleached, but not as bad. I was gonna say those pc lights won't work but then the OP mentioned they have an actinic color temp, so who knows maybe they will, but not likely. By far the most common advice I got to get it to color back up is to feed it meaty food ie mysis.

Where was that guy attached when you bought it? Sand or rock work? Generally speaking, BTA are rock dwellers, LTA are sand dwellers. It looks attached to the rocks.
