That is a S. gigantea. He looks healthy, a little bleached. The dark area on the tentacles show that he still have zooxanthelae and should recover fine if given good condition. They are not easy to keep and demand strong current and high light.

Thank you so much. I’ve had it for about 4 months. And is doing great . Just wasn’t sure what it was? Lfs told me it was a sebae. Did a little searching and it didn’t look like anything in the sebae search? I think the bleach look is coming from my phone wigging out on my blue lights. This is without the blues on. Don’t know much about anemones ,this is a pic without my blue lights on . Does it still looked bleached? And if yes any what should I be doing to help ? Thanks again!

Awesome, really appreciate your time and info. This was it last night after swapping from MH (transformer fried) to full spec led’s. I’m thinking it likes it? I’ve never seen it’s tentacl so long?

They do very well with 10k. I have 5k led spots pointed at mine in addition to the typical blue reef color. 100% led for years. I think I run them for 12-14 hours a day but don’t remember. The tents get very long when happy. High flow seems to make them happiest, higher than typical sps flow. You will see people keep them in all kinds of conditions. The results speak for themselves.

There are carpet anemone keepers, even Gigantea anemone keepers, then there are Gigantea Fanatics. That is what you should call Taylor t and myself with him been a little more of a fanatic than me.
DJ26,
Good luck with your Gigantea. They are one of the most beautiful animal we can keep.

Welcome to the gigantea owners club. Now that you have one, you'll want more. ;)
