When you put those fish in, it's gonna put a bioload on the tank.

Stop trying to speed **** up. Put the dang clownfish in first, let them establish the biofilter. Let the tank mature, THEN put the nemmies in for god's sake. People don't listen.

1. Cycle the tank and mature it with either food or a small fish that could be moved to my reef.
2. Add nems and let them get established before clowns
3. Add clowns when tank has been up for a while and add bacteria

Use a acclimation box. Be smart about this. Or get nemmies that can handle it. Besides, the clownfish you're gonna put in there will be small. You're gonna do more damage messing with the biofilter than they will do living in the nemmie.

My god.

So in a 40 established tank, you think 7 small clownfish with a protein skimmer and a bottle of bacteria would be too much?!
