Anemone question/talk

Hello my fellow reef keepers, last night my bubble tip anemone was walking around as he’s still looking for a spot he likes after getting him 1-2 weeks ago. In the morning I noticed I couldn’t find him so I looked around every where and found him sucked in the filter. My aquarium is an all in one with an overflow and a small sucker like halfway, while he was walking I think he got sucked into there and that’s where I found him. He now looks like this do we think he’ll make it? There’s pics of how he looks now and how he looked

It should recover fine… mine went through a gyre and was the size of a dime! Today it’s massive.

Wandering anemone are not satisfied by their surroundings, they are looking for something better.

Two things that they need are proper light and proper water movement.

Both of those things are necessary for long term health. Light and currents provide energy and or food for the body. A wandering anemone is likely wanting more light or more drifting food.

The other thing that makes an anemone comfortable is a place to attach the foot where they can hold on tightly and retreat into a safe space when storms or predators come.

Make sure that the light and currents are enough to allow the anemone to recover. If it needs more it will shrivel up shrink and likely die.

If it just wants a foothold it may stop wandering around after getting grated?

I am glad to see that nems seem to be fairly hardy, as it's one of the creatures i hope to get in a tank once i'm ready. I know it's cliche, but i want a pair of clownfish and an anemone.
