Hey everyone bought my first anemone on monday night , as of this morning he still hasn't really settled in. I placed him on a nice rock at the bottom of the tank monday night by Tuesday night he moved and attached himself on the underside of one of my rock caves. This morning i saw him deeper in the cave but detached so I assume he's on the move again. The tank is a standard 120g , water parameters are stable. I am running leds. What can I do to help him settle in?

The first thing to learn about them is they'll do whatever they want as long as they want. It could takes several weeks for it to find that just right spot. Best thing to do is just let it be...if you try to force it to do something you'll just **** it off and it'll probably take longer for it to settle down.

I see so just set it and forget it. Do I have to adjust my lighting in anyway or just leave it as is and let it adjust to the lighting?

LOL, yes...that's it exactly! set it and forget it. Leave your lights as is. It'll move to a spot where the light is just right for his liking. If you changed your lights and it found the right spot then you ramped the lights back up guess what...you're starting all over again.

Thanks !

What if you setup your lights to have sunrise-sunset over the day?

Also whats the best way to have then NOT juice up into a powerhead?

Sunrise / sunset doesn't affect them. I think it's the peak intensity in the middle. I have MP40's and go the foam covers for them.

Custom foam covers? Any DIY or product link would be helpful. Thanks
