Anemone spot light

Does anyone keep a spotlight on their nem after dt lights go out? Are there any pros or cons to doing this?

I have no idea, that’s what I’m asking. I saw videos of people doing that.

Seemed to me like you're just encouraging the anemone to move. Can you put an image or video of this practice, I would like to see it.

I've seen and actually used a flashlight to spotlight a nem as lights ramp down in an effort to help clowns discover a new nem, maybe what you are seeing, but other than that I see no reason for it, and would prefer a normal light cycle.

I have a spot on the mag. Watch at 2:45



I now only run it for 7 hour and not during sunrise/sunset because the effect looks too artificial.

The mag has positioned itself so it faces the spot light.

Thanks. I read somewhere that they appreciate it and I thought it could be a way of persuading it to stay where I wanted.

I could try and place the spot on the opposite side of the tank, but I am afraid of messing with that anemone :).
