I have had my tank up since april. how long should I wait to get an BTA or a different anemone. also I currently have aqueon circulation pump. modle 930 I belive. 2 of them running. would I be better off swapping those out for a couple imagitarium aquarium power heads?

Can you provide more details on the tank? Size, inhabitants, lighting, etc. Also what type of anemones are you looking to add?

What are your water parameters? What livestock do you have in your tank now? I highly suggest you look into controllable power heads such as jebao.

60 gal.
protein skimmer and just have a pair of oscellios clown fish in there and for frags leather mushroom toadstool, devils hand, 2 neon green birds nest frags, ric orange 2 red polyps and green polyp frag.
lighting as of this weekend hopefully 2 sb reef light 16" basic.
2 heaters.
the current light that I have now is a aquatic life reef edge led aquarium light fixture 48".
not sure on what I will get yet.

The linked powerheads are going to provide laminar flow which host nems will not appreciate. Look for a powerhead with a turbulent flow pattern. BTAs are generally the best host nem for a first time nem keeper but note that they are not a natural symbiont for Ocellaris Clowns.
