So our green bta was doing really well and suddenly started moving around the tank. Ended up in the back corner and it's now looking bad. Definitely not nearly enough light there and seems to be losing color. Stable tank and good parameters, all other corals thriving. Any ideas?

Have you had any recent parameter swings? Especially temp, alk or salinity? Those three tend to trigger nems moving and being unhappy.

Not really. I do the same water changes weekly. Params have stayed the same. Salinity did go from 1.026 to 1.025 last wc

That small of a change shouldn't bother it... Any new fish or inverts?

Do you direct feed it? If so, How long since and what was it feed?

IF your parameters are all in line (This would necessitate a recalibration of my refractometer), there haven't been any significant swings, the clowns aren't abusing is, and no mechanical damage, all that can really be done right now is to watch it.

Nems can look like absolute garbage for apparently no reason, then spring right back.

I did directly feed it Thursday night. Frozen mysis or brine. I'll keep an eye on it. It's still attaching everywhere it goes

That's a good sign.. take notice of the mouth if/when you can see it. Gaping or spitting guts would be a bad escalation.

What kind of LAMP are you running over it? Do you have ample dissolved nutrients?

I don't feed any of my nems directly. Some enjoy being fed, some dont. Regardless, they're getting all of the energy they need through lighting and nutrients in the water.

Honestly sometimes anemones can become infected and might need treatment to recover. I had one that became infected after my clowns were too aggressive while hosting. It moved and fell if the rocks. I treated it and it a day or two later it started opening back up and begin a recovery process. Not saying yours is infected but it is always a possibility

Mine looked like this when I first introduced , over months it found its own spot, let it choose its own spot.

Mine hid in a cave for months, very white and only shown a few fingers out , recently it's now active :)
Just let it be itself

I ended up having to intervene. It was getting worse and worse looking in the spot it was at. Already looking better and opening more since I moved it.

I did have a powerhead go out and replaced it with one with a constant flow, but it's aimed up toward the surface and only getting some indirect flow off the glass. Forgot about that
