Anyone know of a way to get RBTA to bubble instead of stretch out?

So my CSB is weird some days he stretch’s way out. And other times he bubbles flow is the same, lighting is the same, fish are the same, water is the same it’s just day to day he does what he wants here some pic when it was a baby through adult

Yeah when you find that "Holy Grail" - let us know. Until then here's something to ponder - 1/2 of them have bubbles the other 1/2 do not. Same flow, same lights & same tank...
